I opted for glass as stainless steel straws tend to aggravate my allergy and have a little metallic taste. I’m very happy I did so, the quality is excellent, the little brushes make them very easy to keep clean and the coloured glass around the top helps identify which drink is yours.I haven’t dropped one from a height but the straws are rather durable. They’ve withstood extreme temperatures (scalding hot water to clean and ice cold drinks - though you obviously don’t do this one immediately after the other) and being dropped onto a table/kitchen counter.I’m aware some people may be reluctant to use glass but I’ve converted many people already.The only thing that could improve this product would be to have a container for travel like the plain straws do. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Best environmentally friendly straws on the market *by J***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 January 2019* I need to use a straw for all of my drinks but I am also concerned about the impact on the environment, while looking in to alternatives I found these and decided to give them a try. As seen in the picture there are quite thick and they don't feel flimsy at all. They feel strong. They are a great alternative to plastic. Iv tryed metal straws and they seem to have a funny taste to them but these are just the same as drinking straight from the glass.
