The Austin Air HealthMate is designed to address your everyday air quality concerns. It removes a wide range of airborne particles, chemicals, gases and odors and will significantly improve the quality of air in your home. Filter Specifications : STAGE 1 – Large Particle Pre-filter. Removes particles easily seen by the naked eye (e.g. dust, hair and pet dander) STAGE 2 – Medium Particle Pre-filter. Removes small to medium size particles (e.g. molds, spores and pollen) STAGE 3 – Over 780 cubic inches of Activated Carbon and Zeolite. Removes chemicals, gases and odors. ## Questions & Answers

**Q: How many sq ft is this rated for?**
A: 1500 sf

**Q: what is the difference between the B400 and the HM400 units?**
A: no difference, they are the same thing. Austin Air uses both for the same unit.

**Q: Mine seems to thrum unevenly, as if the motor is off balance.  Is that normal?**
A: Mine does this occasionally, especially after switching from a higher fan speed to a lower one. It usually normalizes within a few minutes though.

**Q: how many square feet does it cover?**
A: 1500 sq ft on high.  This should used more for comparison levels because most of the time you should run the unit on low or medium.  Normally we recommend to our clients to run on high for a few hours when they first get it and then low to medium.  If something happens to give a high contaminant in the area, then raise to high temporarily to alleviate the situation.  We also recommend to over not run right up to your room size limits.
