I have used it many times on my dog for injuries he gets on his paws from time to time ( he has thin skinned paw pads) or other minor injuries and use it for my horse too as she lives in a herd so always getting bites or sometimes they come into contact with something more serious ( if it's out there, they find it somehow). Small injuries are almost gone the next day and use for allergic reactions too to calm the itch so they don't create hot spots. Recently went through this with my horse who had a reaction to a bug bite. She scratched herself in her chin area all under her head within 1 day. Tried other products which did not control the itch and it became worse. Remembered the Coat Defense. Within 1 day it was scabbing up and I could tell she was no longer itching. Healed right up. Now it's the first thing I reach for. They also make a paste which works great especially on horses, stays on longer and protects.
