The fabric is a tad thin, but it is double layered, so it's not see through, at least in black. The material is soft, jersey like, cottony, with stretch. I will say, the fabric thinness means it's really comfortable; however, it didn't have a lot of "hold" or "control" or "strength". When I wear body-hugging skirts or dresses, I like it to have some control on the tummy. So it's just a consideration if your body type isn't too firm. I'm 5'2", 165lbs, size 10/12 and bought a size XL, thinking it would be reduced sizing. It was a tad too large and I would have been good with an L (maybe the L would feel tighter around my tummy and have that hold I want). I highly recommend! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 👌 Perfect *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2019* Love it. I have EDS so my hip dislocates often and i have trouble walking correctly. This skirt hugs enough so it's not super restrictive yet helps me a lot with my walking and body awareness. I like it lower on my hips so it's long enough for summer and breathes bcs it's cotton but thick enough over leggings for winter. Beige has a polished work look. I'm 5'9 usually S/M and I got a medium it fits awesome. I do have small hips and butt, so I could see if the tightness is uncomfortable for more average curves. One tag on the side- is nice because I get itchy easily. Definitely getting a couple more colors. UPDATE: these are holding up EXCELLENTLY. Great quality for a low price. I have black, beige, rose, and green. I want more! So comfy I'm super impressed. Never see through because of the double layer.
