They are basically the same product as mentioned, however they have different uses and different chemicals/amounts for that purpose. While ortho is good inside the home, MAX is better used outside the home (and inside) but in order to benefit from it you need to spray it on hard surface next to your house, tile, concrete doors, windows ect. That is why I am lining my home with 2-3 ft of crushed white rock or concrete because in order to be effective the surface needs to be 1) solid for the MAX to stick to and 2) smooth and at least 12IN for the spiders/pests to cross. But as I stated I use both Ortho inside and MAX around the outside and the MAX does provide 12 months of protection while the Ortho I believe is only 3 months. **Q: Is this for inside of the home only, in other words is this for outside and inside and if only one do i need a different spray for the other?** A: I use both inside and outside. It is clear and does not stain or stink. Inside I only do exterior doors and window sills although you can do baseboards as well.
