I can only say for this reason I did a lot of reading and shopping around before spending this much on one tiny little drill bit. Blade pattern had much to do with it but I wanted confidence in quality as well. I didn't want to waist money on something too cheap that wouldn't hold up to the job at hand, but I would only be using it non professionally at home for small projects and chances are I'll only use it a couple times so I certainly don't need to spend 2 days pay either. The perfect size and all was proving near impossible to find without paying 30 to over 100 dollars.Bottom line, I settled on this and I'm very pleased with it's performance. I just used it on some home projects to do some shaping on some aircraft grade aluminum but pushed it hard, put it to the test (so to speak) and it did the job well and is still in excellent condition for future projects. I don't know how it would hold up to steal milling as I haven't used it for that but I can recommend for aluminum. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I use it in my Shapeoko 2 CNC mill with great results. I screwed up and left my machine unattended while milling aluminum and came back to find that the valley in the aluminum had clogged and ended up catching the bit, so now it was cutting very deep gouges through the plate. Rather than break, it just kept chewing away.The workpiece was destroyed (*sadface*) but the endmill seems to have survived the encounter and continues to cut just fine. I will microscope the endmill in the near future here to see what the actual damage is; but I am still very impressed this bit did not break. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good quality end mill but picture is misleading. *by M***A on Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2018* Well made end mill that cuts well. Here's the problem. The specs don't mention how long the shank is. The picture indicates roughly half the overall length of 2". Unfortunately for me, the shank is much longer than half the total length leaving me way short of what I need.
