It does what it is suppose to do. It gets a little crowded if you want to put a lot of utensils in it at a time. I just refilled it as I needed to. I failed on this one and this is the lowest score I have ever submitted to Amazon. WHY? Because I wanted a utensil holder for a weekly club breakfast potluck. We use all heavy duty plastic flatware, sized about the same as the metal flatware in your own kitchen, so I am guessing you would have the same problem I did with this basket: The utensils kept falling out at the base. There is not enough enclosure to contain the flatware and the holder became more of a nuisance than it was worth. I took it out of service after finding a plexiglass utensil holder of similar size that has fully enclosed sides. It works; this one does not.
