A little tape works well for that.I am an insulator and this works well when you want to put it in a front or rear pocket. A little bulky for a pouch but works.

I am very proud of my Mercer cutlery, and didn't want to use an off brand's inferior sheath for my amazing kitchen shears. Since it seems Mercer doesn't make a sheath specifically for the shears, I had to get a bit creative. Luckily this sheath is a perfect fit and a welcome flourish to my cutlery collection.
