**Q: I have had this product before and the brine liquid is clear, the jar I have just had delivered is a cloudy liquid concerned product is contaminated**
A: We had no problem with a little "milkiness", in fact the corns remained quite edible until well beyond the "best by" date. But, if you are so concerned, the best thing to do would be to send them back. After all, the photograph shows a clear liquid. I wonder if temperature could have an effect? Salt could come out from the brine solution at lower temperatures.

**Q: Once opened how long do they last?**

This is the only product I use, my wife likes my pepper sauce!! the bottle says that you keep in a fridge after opening and use within 8 weeks. I use them about once a week and they are kept in a cool dark cupboard they last me for about three months and I notice no reduction in quality so I presume they would probably last longer but I am by no means a qualified person to give this advice I just know the pepper corns are still fine when I finish them. I always make sure the brine covers the corns

**Q: I have just received my jar of peppercorns, the brine is very cloudy, is this normal?**
A: I've just checked mine, it's not particularly cloudy, but not completely clear either. The container it is in is plastic, which is not completely clear, more translucent, which may make the brine look cloudy from outside. You may not have opened it yet, worried that you may have to send it back. If you have opened it, decant a little of the brine into a glass. I just did this with mine, the brine is clear with a green tinge and a few suspended particles (presumably of green peppercorn bits).
