My son bought me an orchid years ago. It was my second one. My first one died. I was hoping to goodness the one he gave me would never die. It did. I NEVER knew that there was a pot just for orchids! The pot has holes all throughout its body so that the orchid (an air plant) can "breathe". When I removed my orchid to transplant into this pot, the bottom was saturated with water. The pot is nice and heavy, so you don't have to worry about the height of the plant causing the pot to easily tip over. To add to that, you can not push it to make room for something, you have to lift it. It won't slide on you due to the rubber or whatever is on the base of the pot making it "no skid". It's so pretty and all of the holes are very unique shapes. They aren't circles or ovals, but more of each hole being a design. I think my orchid may actually prosper now that I know there is a special pot for orchids. I'm also using this "food spray" once a week that goes on everything except for the flower.
