I am not aware of any standard defining how a monitor mates with its stand, therefore I would think that if you do want to change the stand that you'd need to find another stand made to fit this monitor. **Q: If i buy two of these, can i plug an hdmi into the other slot to transfer the picture to the other monitor? my computer only has one hdmi slot.** A: Unfortunately no. HDMI does not support Daisy Chain function and it is a DisplayPort function with version 1.2 and above. Monitors need to equip with DisplayPort output in order to support such function. **Q: In what country is this built? Thanks.** A: Made in China :-( It is a good monitor though. Look for Samsung or ASUS for non-China monitors. The colors are vivid and bright, and the viewing angles are good. I don't play a lot of fast-paced action games, but the refresh rate seems adequate in what I've seen so far. Assembly was easy. An HDMI cable is included, but it's a bit on the short side, so be forewarned.There's a tiny, faint smudge under the glass on the upper left that looks like an errant speck of dust, but it's not a huge deal and not worth sending the monitor back over. I honestly forget it's there most of the time. The button placement is a little unusual -- under the bottom frame -- but you get used to that after a while. The speakers are indeed terrible, as they're on the back of the monitor. Just use headphones with the provided jack. For this price, you're not going to get an adjustable monitor. Perfect size for using Photoshop, playing games, and streaming shows. I love that it has multiple inputs so I can use my MacBook for work and with a press of a button switch over to my personal PC if they are both turned on. Getting to the menu confused me at first, but to access the menu you press 1, not the arrows. To switch between inputs you press the 2 button. The back is a little tricky to plug your cables in because the base is so close so you have to bend your wires a bit to fit, but it works with some wiggling. The white screen looks really nice on my white desk and looks classier than all of the black screens out there. Came without any scratches or flaws. (Too bad there isn't a black-on-black version) - Build quality isn't very high - Stand isn't height adjustable. - No display-port input (Just VGA, 2xHDMI) - Speakers are awful, as are most flat panel displays.I am using a DisplayPort to HDMI cable from a HP laptop to this screen and the sound carries over the cable, which is very nice. I wasn't really surprised by the built-in speakers lack of quality. Apple, it seems, is the only manufacturer who takes the time to make built-in-speakers sound good.The build-quality of this monitor suffers mostly due to a flexible plastic frame and the screen bezel being glued to said frame. The upper right corner of my screen separated from the frame. This would otherwise be unnoticeable except for the light leaking out from the panel. This is also the reason I gave the monitor 4 stars instead of five.If you need an inexpensive 1080 panel that has excellent color reproduction and clarity, this is as good as it gets.
