**Q: Can you describe how the sticker comes off? is it printed on a clear square that stays on, or after applying pressure does the clear part come off?**
A: The decal comes off a sheet like any other sticker.  When applied, there is no other part, only the design you see.  No clear square or covering.

**Q: is the adhesive on the front or back of the image?**
A: The adhesive is on the back.

I got two 3.8 inch SWO decals (one for me and one for my wife) as well as an SS decal from my prior enlisted service. All very easy to apply and holding up well so far through the PacNW winter and into the summer.For me this was the perfect size; not so big as to be gaudy but big enough to be seen from a reasonable distance. I'm proud of my service but don't want a decal that covers half my rear window.
