Review: Great taste - Tastes very good, it has a noticeable although subtle taste of bourbon, even in coffee. The bottle came with a broken cap, which is my only complaint. This is an excellent product and well worth the money in my opinion
Review: Use this instead of simple syrup for cocktails - This syrup is great for making cocktails. This is my second time purchasing this syrup, it is a nice improvement over simple syrup when making an Old Fashioned. It has a subtle bourbon flavor. I also find that it is a nice addition to any whiskey. If I don't feel like taking the time to make an Old Fashioned, I add just a teaspoon-ish of this, a big ice block, pour in my favorite whiskey, and stir. The thickness and clarity is what you expect from a good maple syrup. I also find it to be very reasonably priced

A: During the bourbon barrel aging process, a small amount of alcohol is absorbed along with the bourbon flavor. While the label states "up to 2% alcohol", lab testing shows it to average around 0.8% alcohol.
