I added 3 TBS cane sugar and 1 TBS molasses, according to instructions, adding 3 parts refined to 1 part unrefined sugar and molasses was in the unrefined list. It disintegrated my grains. I later read elsewhere that you can only add 1/2-1 tsp or else they overgrow and self-destruct. I tried contacting them with my question right away, but they never answered. Could have saved them. Water kefir is a fantastic way to overcome gut dybiosis issues with a wild, natural ferment with loads of species of bacteria and yeast.
