The cat bowls are probably suitable for one smaller cat, although our two are managing to get by. We were desperate because one of our cats kept playing in the water bowl and even manage to tip it out of it's holder. This set seemed the perfect solution. It's quite small and two cats can't really feed at the same time (we sometimes give a wet food treat to both cats together). Disappointed as we were, we then ordered the larger set for medium to large dogs. Now it's too big. Well actually, the bowl size and front opening are perfect (albeit the bowls being way too deep). If the bowls were more shallow and the whole thing was a few inches lower, it would be without a doubt the best cat feeder on the market, easily. So, we've kept the smaller cat option and returned the larger one. Now we have to top up the food and water more often, but our floor doesn't get soaked anymore. All my problems aside, the plastic bowl holder is actually better quality than it appears in the pictures, which makes a nice change. If you have one cat, the cat option is perfect. Two hungry thirsty cats might be an issue, although we manage. Great design though, basic, hassle free, not over thought and easy to wipe clean both parts.
