I had purchased a used cloth bean bag and had sprayed it entirely with the Bissell Woolite product. After 2 days, no uneasy odors were detected. I also used this on a throw rug where two cats sleep and roll around on. After two days, no cat odors were detected. I cannot comment on its ability to sanitize and kill bacteria, viruses, and fungi but my assumption is that it is better to use this product than nothing at all. 3.5-stars on the product’s ability to remove stains. It does a great job in removing recent stains completely. My daughter had a droplet of blood on a white cloth chair and the Bissell Woolite product removed it without a trace. However, on older stains it performed average. The stain was from sauce that was spilled on a futon couch mattress over 15 years ago. I used the Bissell Woolite product on it twice and it decreased the stain’s presence by about 50%.
