The wool blend socks I've been wearing are tight, hard to get on and off, and leave a mark on my legs. I've worn the AlpacaJack socks four times & washed them four times. I even wore them multiple days without washing, to test their durability.The socks are very soft, and easy to get off and on. They were not as tight as the socks I wear now. I saw no change in the socks after four washings.I plan to buy these socks again. So we ordered five more pairs, straight off the "re-order the same item" link. They are NOT the same item": These are much smaller and several inches shorter; they don't reach the knee. They are also thinner, without the thick plush padding, especially in the toe.
