It has an excellent look and design. This is something you'll be happy to show off if you ever have a fondue party. I didn't bother with the included fuel holder. I just bought a set of sterno gel packs from Walmart and haven't had any issues at all.I bought this for my wife for her birthday. We both love going to the melting pot but she has a very sensitive case of celiac disease. A little bit of cross contamination can set her back for days. So I got this and we haven't looked back since. We've been going there for years and finally decided to buy not just one, but two of these. They are fantastic. They are ideal for meat, cheese or chocolate fondue. The difference with a meat fondue is that you use the stainless steel cover (shown in picture). Otherwise, we leave it off.As an added benefit to buying a cast iron pot, they retain heat very well, so I usually preheat them in the over while I'm cooking on the stove. When everything is ready, we put it in a hot pan, and set over the burner.
