Installation however was an issue for me. After mounting the lever to the bracket on the transmissoin tunnel when the lever was shifter was moved to 2H the knob would contact the floor console not allowing me to know whether or not the transfer case was fully disengaged. The fix for me was to cut about one quarter inch off the shifter rod and the remove material from the bottom of the aluminum shifter knob little by little until the shifter knob no longer contacted the console. I probably spent two hours tweaking this thing so it would work properly which should not be necessary if this product was produced specifically for an 05' wrangler.
