Good stuff - I've been using this successfully on top of the sound deadening layer, to insulate a ford transit van conversion. The closed cell structure repels water and also insulates well. I got some 6mm and 12mm. It is hugely sticky stuff, so once it's on it isn't coming off. I find it best to apply it in sections rather than one large piece. I don't use a vapour barrier when I use this stuff. This closed cell insulation stops the moisture-laden air getting to the bare metal and condensing, so as far as I'm concerned it does NOT need a vapour barrier as well. Others would disagree, but it's a really contentious issue. For areas that need a deeper layer of insulation (like in the side panels of the van, I use the sound deadening layer first, then closed cell foam (this stuff) and then the recycled plastic bottles insulation, before then putting a ply layer over the top and carpeting the surface. Review: Brilliant - Cuts easily with a fresh Stanley blade. Very sticky so adheres really well. Made a huge difference to sound and temperature in the van. Feels almost warm to the touch when it’s negative temperatures outside.
