But it does! It wouldn't help somebody whose hammer toe is stiff to the point of requiring a surgical correction. But in my case, I could always straighten my toe, but of course it would go back to its bent position - with a developed corn on top.It seems to be counter-intuitive to add extra layer under already bent toe and expect it to straighten. In fact, the extra thickness works as a cushion for a distant part of the toe, allowing it to rest comfortably.I used it in my trainers (obviously) and in boots without any discomfort. Within a week I managed to get rid of years old corn.Why then I didn't give 5 stars?Simply because I don't like buying 'a cat in a bag'. The description is worse than minimal. I took my chance when ordering a medium size. I would expect dimensions and choice of size of the packaging.
