I come to this book as someone who primarily plays a bit of jazz, rock and blues and has very good technique but has also gained a decent amount of skill fingerpicking on acoustic and classical guitar. As I have been developing a greater love for playing classical guitar I began to notice that what was holding me back was a lack of proper classical guitar technique in my picking hand. This was ultimately preventing me from playing the pieces I was learning as correctly as I ought to be doing with my picking hand. Since working through some of the early exercises in this book I have noticed a more assured picking technique beginning to develop and I am already reaping the benefits when playing pieces that were giving me difficulties in certain hotspots. I can honestly say that I doubt you will find a better book for developing all manner of essential techniques for use on classical guitar and beyond. There are many years worth of examples to master so the earlier you start the better!
