I have never before used a brush that did this. EVER.It HURT like H3LL!A wooden bristled brush had been recommended to me for encouraging healthy hair growth (how ironic); this did exactly the opposite: it RIPPED the hair right out of my head!I have tried to figure out what about this brush was my undoing (it looked like a normal brush), and I've narrowed it to this: the rubbery base (silicone?) is VERY grippy/grabby; the wooden bristles poke through from behind and are held in place by a wooden head on the back end of the bristle (kinda like a nailhead). This creates a tiny bump that is covered by the grippy rubbery base, and when your hair finds its way down there, it is grabbed by the rubber as well as by the bump and the junction of the two. It is really PAINFUL.Aside from that, for those without fine hair: the brush appears to be very well constructed- the wood is beautiful and it is quite smooth, on both the body and the bristles. Also, the company was really good about the return, so huge kudos to them for that. They stand behind their product.In short, maybe I am tender-headed, but I didn't think I was until this. I read another review that said this yanked out hair and I foolishly dismissed it. I should have paid attention. If you have thinner fine hair, think twice or three times about ordering this brush.
