The house I live in has all tiled floors, so working out on them was literally a pain. This mat is very thick and provides a great cushion for me when I lay for crunches or something. It also has a great grip and does not slide around on the tile when I am doing more active movements. Functionally its a great mat, and I recommend it to anyone who needs a good cushion with a firm grip. I am giving it 4 stars because the color is not at ALL like it is shown in the picture. I bought this mat specifically because the picture shows a beautiful, vibrant pink mat. When I got it in the mail, it is this awful orangey coral color. It doesn't even look like it could be in the pink family, that is how orange and ugly it is.
