Review: Excellent quality! The smell is amazing. - I usually buy vanilla beans/pods which are dried, in a jar, from the store, and pay an exorbitant amount for them. I looked on desertcart and when I saw organic (which doesn’t necessarily mean anything but I figured I’d give them a try) that helped to sway me. They smell AMAZING!!! They are soft so I am able to scrape out the seeds if so desired. This may not be what you want and you may need the pods/beans dry for a recipe but if you are looking for a quality product, suitable for homemade extract (strong potency), clean and moist, you have found it! I hope your order is as good as mine. I’m super happy with it. It came quickly only draw back? Packaged in plastic, I prefer anything but.

I have purchased this brand for years. I make a double batch of extract (1 gallon) a year. This brand has never let me down. My extract is always absolutely delicious. For my extract- I run a knife down the center of each bean pod. I do not extract the seeds. I add the 50 sliced bean pods to a 64 ounce mason jar, then 32 ounces of vodka and two 16 ounce bottles of vanilla extract. I find using the extract (it is a great price at Costco) makes the batch even more flavorful than just using vodka. I shake the jars once a day for the first two weeks, then let them sit in a cool dark cabinet for a full year. You can use it sooner, but the longer you wait, the better the flavor. So easy and so amazingly delicious!

They are soft so I am able to scrape out the seeds if so desired. This may not be what you want and you may need the pods/beans dry for a recipe but if you are looking for a quality product, suitable for homemade extract (strong potency), clean and moist, you have found it! I ordered vanilla beans from two different companies on the same day. Same kind and same grade. This brand and these beans were the absolute BEST! So much caviar in them that I was able to double my order of Vanilla sugar. They are nice and plump, and moist, I ordered 8 more ounces of these beans that will be here tomorrow. So far I've got 1 gallon of vanilla extract aging. Also 20 cups of vanilla sugar aging for a few weeks. I will continue ordering these beans. I'm honestly impressed, and that's hard to do. Plus, the price can't be beat for vanilla beans this nice. Just get them, you will not regret it.
