The wall was freshly painted so I waited before applying as recommended in the directions. Vinyl is always a little challenging to apply. This one was no worse than others that I've purchased. To apply, you need patience. Will help if you have a second set of hands. Use painters tape and make sure the design is where you want it. Then I placed two strips of tape across the top of decal. Bend the decal up to make a "hinge". Slowly peel backing off, this is where a second set of hands is helpful. If you see some letters sticking to backing paper, just rub between your fingers until it stays in place. Once you have the backing paper removed, hold the paper by the corners and gently place against wall while using credit card to smooth out. Take your time. Ours came out perfect.
