It's very flattering for women with curves. I'm 5'3" and weigh 173 lbs, I ordered the medium because my waist is much smaller and my upper torso is as well. (Didn't want it to be frumpy!) I carry a majority of my weight in my lower body and chest. I used their measurements to judge with all things considered. The dress hangs superbly and is just above my ankle bone, won't need hemming. The material is soft and flowing, as rayon tends to be. It will be great for spring, summer and fall. I will be getting the white dress hopefully soon so that I can tie dye it, I don't even want to bleach dye the khaki green that I received. (I had wanted to do that but the color is gorgeous, I will keep it as is! Until it stains or something, lol.) Shipping was faster than I thought and I can't wait to order another. I have this dress in white/small and it fit perfectly. This one in blue is definitely shorter and that is not what I expected at all. It come up to my mid callf. The picture representing the dress shows the length going to the floor. I am debating wether to return it or not. The material is not quite as blue as shown on the computer but nice nonetheless. Wonderful designs just wish it was consistent. I wonder how it will wash out. I usually wear a 14/16 and I got the "one size" which fits pretty perfect. The only reason I left off a star is because the elastic thing on the belly kinda emphaisized my middle.
