Finally disaster has struck and now I've had to switch to my Coby 8GB MP3 Player, thankful to have gotten a backup because I love my music. I purchased this mp3 player in March 2013 so I have had plenty of time to play with it and learn all of its features. I have a 4GB micro SD card in it, not because I needed extra storage at the moment but because I had this micro SD card in a cellphone and it had my music collection already stored on it so since I had upgraded my mobile and no longer needed the SD card for the cellphone I decided to put it in this mp3 player and I am currently listening to my music from the mp3 player with the music that was already on my SD card. All I had to do was place my music from the SD card in my favorites list in the music section of the mp3 player and now its happy listening. Surprisingly this very inexpensive mp3 player is much louder then my last one which comes in handy when I'm trying to drown out whatever situation that has me resorting to my music. The touch screen is somewhat iffy at times but with patient's you can easily maneuver through the menu to get where you want to go, I didn't care for the ear buds that came with the player so I purchased a pair that fits snug in my ears and are much softer plus I have the set that I used with my last mp3 player. I do agree with some of the reviews about the battery life, it doesn't last very long but this player like anything else that uses a USB cord to be able to charge/transfer data you can simply charge it at home while listening to it also your able to charge it in your car so I'm not so worried about the battery life since I always have a source to charge the player, to me the battery life lasts long enough for when I'm away from home or out of my car so its not a big deal. I didn't agree with the reviews that says its hard to set the time and date, I did mine with little effort and its keeping the correct time and date, when your setting the time the device has you set it in military time but after its saved it shows as normal time. So at this time I've had this MP3 Player for a few months and I've found it to be easy to use and well worth the price, an 8GB MP3 Player with a FM radio and camera under $40.00 is a great deal, especially if it works and you can get out of it what its intended for and that's to listen to music. I've also hooked it up to portable speakers and the sound quality is awesome, much better then my expensive RCA 4GB MP3 Player. I did a ton of research, but as anyone who's attempted this knows, customer feedback can be on opposite ends of the scale, ultimately providing little help in establishing the quality of a product. Finally, with the children anxious and myself totally tired of the process, I ordered 3 of these. I had watched a youtube demo of a satisfied customer showing off his Coby MP827 (we ordered MP828 models) and saw the 3.5 star average rating for the MP828, thus, I expected the quality to be the same or better than the MP827. I didn't read the reviews, only went by the star rating. When we received the players & discovered that the screens were essentially non-responsive to touch/tap/tap & hold I read the other reviews and realized that previous buyers, as a majority, also disliked the item for similar reasons. I don't know why they were giving multiple star ratings. If a product is defective from the box, who cares how easy it is to download music or how loud the volume gets? I'm really not picky about speed, looks, or even having high resolution photo/video features, but I do expect quality when I invest in a product. If you can't manufacture a quality product at this price, then improve the design and charge more for a product that does work. Nobody wants the runaround of returning items defective from the manufacturer. I will not purchase another Coby product now because of the poor quality that was consistent in these mp3 players. I had 3, and all of them were faulty. Hopefully we can get our refunds in time to order replacement items for our upcoming road trip. SO FAR THE RETURN PROCESS HAS BEEN SIMPLE AT AMAZON, HOWEVER I DO NOT KNOW IF THERE WILL BE ISSUES ONCE OUR ITEMS ARE RECIEVED.
