It has brown stained wood base and bamboo, some of the online photos made the bamboo look darker or almost black. Got it for a good price, don't think it's worth the over $100 price it is listed at now. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very nicely made of natural materials. *by H***R on December 23, 2016* This lamp is nicely made of wood, bamboo, and paper. It took a few tries to get the bulb to screw in far enough to light up; at first I thought it was not wired correctly, but I eventually forced the bulb in enough and it illuminated. It is a little smaller than I expected, but I put it on an end table in a corner and it looks nice there. For my application it would be a bit too small to put on the floor.
