My mom was always religious about wearing them after childbirth and she still wears them regularly to maintain her curves. I originally got into corsets, I love the look of them but wearing them throughout the day was a bit of a hassle because it’s hard to conceal them under clothing, especially low rise jeans or shirts that are either too tight or made out of thin material. This is what lead me to cinchers about two years ago. My first cincher was the vedette 200 which does not have a zipper and has straps. I do like this cincher but over time I realized it was too long for my torso and it even left a scar where my abdomen and my leg meet; from sitting all day at my desk job. I also found this cincher a little hard to conceal when wearing fitted clothing because you could always see the closure through the fabric. If you wear loose clothing this is not a problem but I love high waisted pants with my top tucked in. Anyways, went looking for another everyday cincher, I tried the vedette 902 waspie for my short torso and this one was too short, it left unsightly bulges below my bra and above my hips. Returned that one and bought this gem. The vedette 939 is perfect for me, no uncomfortable straps, perfect coverage, doesn’t sit too low where it’s uncomfortable to bend or sit, and a zipper to blend the closure line!! 🙌 I absolutely love it. I spent some time comparing before deciding on this piece only to find it was sold out in a small. Still, I really wanted this cincher because of its features, decided to go ahead and buy the XS which was available. I figured I’d diet and use my vedette 200 until I could fit into the XS vedette 939, but when I got it in the mail, the 939 fit! It looked tiny and it took me a solid 10 minutes to get it on but it fit like a glove. I’m actually still seasoning it but I plan to wear it daily very soon. I absolutely love this cincher. The zipper not only hides the closure but it also cinches as well. Very very pleased.
