Well that is totally wrong. 6x6 is for the post size. Which a 6x6 measures 5-1/2” x 5-1/2”. I didn’t measure the base, but the 6x6 is for a 6x6 and the 4x4 is for a 4x4. Hope this helps. As far as the quality, they are pretty darn good. They are strong and the paint is a very good quality. Almost feels like powder coated. I purchased these to replace a rotting 6x6 in my shed. I bolted the 6x6 to the concrete next to the rotting one. It worked perfect.

**Q: Do you have to shave down the 4x4 post to be able to make it fit in the anchor? Like it was in the photo.**
A: I used a new 4x4. Did not have to shave anything down. I just took the post inserted it
into the base and then tightened down on the 2 side bolts. Used it for a handrail. Holds
securely.

**Q: Will this support an 80ft long 6ft high wooden privacy fence?**
A: Good question. I think it would end up depending on what the anchor base is anchored to and how far apart you have them. If they are anchored in concrete and 8' apart - yes. If they are anchored into the earth - probably not. I also would not rely on smaller thing like paving stones or thin patio blocks as they are easily pulled up in strong wind. Good luck.

**Q: What is the width from bolt to bolt?**
A: The bolt hole centers are 4.74" apart.

**Q: will this work to secure a 4x4 aluminuim gate post?**
A: I’d be careful because lumber uses dimensional measurement, which means a 4x4 is actually 3.5x3.5. Your aluminum square tube is likely actually 3x4.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just installed 8ft 6x6 post into one

Holes for anchors to concrete are a bit below 7/16. I drilled mine out so I could use 1/2" anchors in fresh footings. Going through metal was easy enough to do with the right bit but the plate was thick and decent quality. I had planned to put bolts through the sides and the 6x6 but without them a post stands upright no issues when tightened with the 2 bolts in images. 6x6 nominal wood (5.5"×5.5" actual) fit in these but I had to round the corners for a bit of ease dropping this in. Only have just done installation but they seem decently build and will last. 4stars due to the bottom plate could be a little bigger to accommodate 1/2" clearance holes which appears to be concrete anchor standard sizes.
