I use it to write my to-do lists or other reminders. I would recommend it if you just need something functional. This has a standard sized notepad (nice paper, too!) on the right side and an elastic slot for your pen centered on the inside seam so that it closes easily without the pen getting in the way. On the left is a large flap where you can tuck full sized sheets of paper (several) and two slots for business cards. Firm enough to be its own writing surface and easy to fold back on itself if you prefer to hold it that way.I like that this has a single, simple snap. It makes it easy and unobtrusive to close, but keeps the contents private. I work in a healthcare setting and want to be sure notes and papers remain private when I set this down. I used to carry a clipboard, but then I would need to either flip the notepad over, or put a cover sheet on top and that's awkward.The blue color is very nice with a hint of turquoise. A perfect balance of professional and bright. And at a much better price than you find at an office store. I wanted a larger size padfolio that I could carry papers to and from meetings in. This is about 9 x 12. The color is beautiful, maybe a tad darker than it looks here, with a very subtle texture. White stitching. The clasp has a snap. Pretty sinple on the inside - a large pocket for 8 1/2 x 11 papers and two small pockets that are perfect for business cards. Also has a loop for a pen holder. I wanted a spiral notebook, but this is a notepad (pages flip back from the top). I couldn't find anything like this with a spiral notebook though, so this is fine. Really happy with the product!
