This is steel, and it is relatively sharp at the edges (thick leather gloves at all times while handling!) It is possible to trim the length if you need with a hacksaw and patience. **Q: It states these are 8 in depth. Is that 8 inches to the point of the tooth, or the valley?** A: The tooth. From the top of the spine to the end of the tooth is 8 inches. **Q: Is this the widest size you guys offer?
