It's plenty big enough to fit across the window. There's enough to tuck more of the fabric into the door than just the pockets, so it holds itself in the door very well.This is made of a very thin sheet of polyester fabric. Wish they would have used ripstop nylon to be a little more durable. There also could have been a bit more magnets along the top and sides to give it a bit more hold to the vehicle. It works for what it was intended for. Keeping the windshield free of snow. As for the ice, it's tough as the windshield had to be as dry as possible so the device doesn't freeze to the windshield. So don't put this on in the middle of a freezing rain storm. It just won't work. If you get it on prior it will work very well.Used it for the six inches of snow last week and it was awesome to not have to brush and scrape the window off in the morning. The windshield was snow free in seconds. Considering it was 24 degrees out that was great. It's nicer than using spare pieces of scrap cardboard.After using this three times over the last few weeks, here are some tips for use.Start upwind and allow the wind to blow it out for you. Lock in one side and smooth it out and lock it in the other door. I come back to the opposite side and tighten it up across the top and done.My neighbors have already asked me about this thing.
