But the feel of this product is unlike any moisturizer I've used before. The texture is creamy and viscous, almost like pudding (I keep making it sound gross, I'm not trying to, I promise). Although it is thick, it is very hydrating. You can feel hydration penetrating to the deepest layer of your skin almost immediately. Also, you really only need a small amount. A little bit of this stuff really does go a long way.10/2022 Update:So it’s been almost three years since I initially left this review and I wanted to give an update. I’ve been a skincare junkie for years now and giving yourself that title comes with a territory. You tend to try on a lot of different products and at times this means putting your skin through a gauntlet. Since I first tried this moisturiser almost three years ago, it has reigned supreme as my most purchased semi-luxury (I use that word because $30 for a moisturiser isn’t the most expensive price point- but for most of us; it isn’t cheap by any means) moisturiser. Here are the two biggest reasons I keep coming back to it:1) the effects are immediate: not many moisturisers on the market make a demonstrable difference in skin texture and vibrancy after a single use: this one does. Because of the price point I try not to indulge in this product every day. But on days my skin feels extra tired- using this at night will almost ensure my skin looks demonstrably better the next morning. Sleeping in this moisturiser improves my skin’s firmness, luminosity, and elasticity the very next morning.2) comfort: this product has always done well with my skin. You know how sometimes your skin just randomly gets tired of a product? There are a number of serums I just need to take a break from for months at a time- but this product has always been gentle and easy for my skin to absorb without an irritation.
