One of the few holster I found that was produced specifically for this model revolver. Holster protects the gun well with only the grips exposed. Retainer strap fits snug, has a good snap. The leather used is a stiff chrome tan and was formed and shaped specifically for the 500 and the product provides a near perfect form fit. Seams are double stitched and look solid. The leather used is a little bit lighter material than other holsters I have. It is still well made and good material. Durability over time will tell if this was worth the cost. My initial perception is that it is a pretty good buy for a holster that fits well and provides good protection. Until I've carried it for a few trail miles I can't tell about comfort, but the options provided by the belt loops on the holster suggest it will be a pretty good fit with a backpack.
