When they arrived I tried them on before washing and was surprised at the softness of the flannel despite that they were a bit stiff. I'm a "mature" woman with a mature body to match, not quite a Plus Size. I ordered an XL after reading the sizing chart. I'm a size 18 in LLBean jeans and the bottoms of the PJs fit very comfortably. Waist band is fine, thigh and seat area are generous. I'm proportionatly sized up top and had no problem with the top fitting. My concern was the piping used around the collar, lapels and sleeves puckering after washing. I laundered this pair at least a half dozen times and haven't had a problem. I should mention I do wash the PJs on a delicate warm cycle and dry on a delicate cycle, then hang the jammies when still slightly damp. The instructions say to machine wash cold, gentle cycle, tumble dry low. The *body* fit is fine but the length of the pant legs and sleeves are much shorter than I prefer. The pant leg could easily be another inch longer and the sleeve length at least 2 inches. When I bend my arms, the sleeves are just below my elbows. I probably would not purchase this again based on that alone.
