It does not keep the smell out as well as the box was crushed when it got here. The button you push to let the air out is not airtight so air leaves the minivac even when the push button is not pushed. This causes the smell to permeate. Also, the diameter of the top and bottom are different, causing it to be hard to close and open, defeating the purpose of this item. I would like to return or exchange it to my amazon gift card, but if resent please check it for ny inconsistencies before you do. Thanks so much.
