Put a table cloth on it because the top is only painted and very prone to discoloration and scratching. more decorative than utilitarian. I bought this because I had previously purchased another table by the same manufacturer and I loved it. This table is not sturdy! I had to drill four additional holes and use 3 inch wood screw to keep the table top from popping off at the slightest pressure. I couldn't even use the height extender that I had no idea they expected me to use given the description. No way to make that sturdy.
