Review: Fine light-duty grinder for not much money - [UPDATE} still have this running in 2026, still works fine, still a good deal... I bought this a while ago (2017) and have used it for about 12-15 pounds of venison sausage so far in small batches. For the money, it seems to be a fine performer. The 3 supplied cutting plates allow the choice of fine, medium, and coarse grinding. I prefer to grind meats coarsely, then add spices, wine and other additions, mix, and re-grind at medium or fine. This seems to result in an excellent sausage with additives well-dispersed throughout. You will find better results from chilling both the meat and the detachable grinder parts before grinding (I've been doing about 30 minutes in the freezer beforehand.) The grinder is noisy while in operation but I expected that. It doesn't move while grinding, and so far hasn't choked on anything, even when I neglected some bits of silverskin in cleaning up the venison beforehand. (The bits of silverskin ended up clustered on the inside of the grinding plate where it was easy to collect and discard.) I have not tried to feed it meat with sizable tendons or sinew and would not be surprised if you had to stop and clean mid-stream if you did that. The sausage-stuffing bits seem to work just fine, I got as much as 8' of casing on it at one go without too much trouble, and it fed just fine with the occasional air coming through if I wasn't consistent enough in feeding the meat in. (I had done some sausage-making before this, but was hardly expert.) All the parts that come in contact with the meat clean up fairly easily, although I do have to work a little harder in getting all the stuff out of the main grinder body. I always clean by hand so I have no knowledge of how it does in the dishwasher. The grinding plates themselves are the only thing that looked to me like they might rust, so I dry them off well, oil them slightly, and keep them separate in a ziplock baggie, and haven't had any trouble with them with that treatment. All together I am impressed by this machine for this very affordable amount of money. If I was grinding up 100 lbs in a week, repeatedly, I might go for a more expensive and powerful version, but I might not. For those of us with lighter duty cycles than that, this is recommended.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Screw wont stay in.**
A: The head part should be the first one to install and lock it by tighten the knob. Do NOT put the feed screw and cutting blade and plate in the head part firstly and then put the whole head part on the meat grinder as it may cause the above problem.

**Q: It makes to much noise. Is it defective?**
A: As this is a electric meat grinder, the motor will make some noise when working. However, our factory have done noise test to make sure it meets relative standard, lower than 82dbA.

**Q: It stopped working after putting meat inside. What's wrong?**
A: Please always defrost meat, wipe dry with kitchen paper towels and cut into small cubes before you put them on the meat tray for grinding. Do not add water before or when the grinder works. Do not put other food like bones, cookies, nuts inside.

**Q: Dark residue is coming out from the machine and it smells like burning.**
A: The dark residue is coming out because the machine is overloaded operated and dry grinding. Continuous overloaded operation will cause motor overheating and smells like burning. Do not make it grinding without putting meat inside.

**Q: It can't grind meat and let meat come out most of meat is stuck inside the machine.**
A: The blade side (also named flat surface) outward when installing meat grinder. Otherwise, it may keep clogging if wrongly placed the cutting blade. Take it apart and double check and re-install it if you find the meat grinder doesn't work properly.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ good but not great

I have had this item for 8 months and so far it works okay. My main purpose for buying this item was to make home made sausages and in addition to that I used this for making pasta and mincing chicken meat. Pros: -For sausage making purpose it works great, powerful and the accompanying sausage apparatus makes life a lot easier. -Besides, unlike other inferior devices (according to their amazon reviews) it does not leak the juice into the electrical compartments. So everything stays tidily in the tubing. -Cleaning is not a hell of a difficulty but I suggest you do not put parts in the dishwasher. -It comes with different attachments (3 sausage ones, several pasta and grinding ones) which makes it multifunctional without having to buy additional parts. -Finally, during my 7-8 sessions, it never got blocked so I never needed to use the rewind function. However I can not give this device 5 stars for some obvious drawbacks: Cons: - First of all the tubing is not very high quality steel. for high quality I mean 18:10 steel which is shiny all times. I believe this one is 18:0 which got (not rusted but) darkened heavily turning from shiny silver color to matte gray color after a few washes in dishwasher. When I enquired people say that this is due to some sort of reaction with the dishwasher detergent. I am not sure whether this is true or not but for peace of mind I strongly recommend not washing it in the dishwasher. -I noticed some rusting in two of the screws that are not in touch with food. But still they could have used better quality tools for this machine. -If you are buying it for pasta function, I suggest you look for something else. Although it works for that purpose, the end product is not well shaped (pennes did not form well) and since they are too close to each other they stick easily. In the end I recommend this device despite some drawbacks. But as I said it could have been better for the price
