I was going to use the message where you start at the end of your braids and then you wrap it all the way up to the top. That is why I chose 12 in because I don't want a long curly ponytail just something big and fluffy but still has a little bit of length. This hair does shed a lot. It said it as soon as I touched it. If you put your fingers through the hair strands of the hair come out but thank goodness it's a very cheap ponytail.With all this shedding is doing I can already tell the ponytail won't last long but if you take care of it you can get enough where's out of it where you feel like you didn't waste your money.I really don't know if this hair is heat resistant.
