The raw edge is barely visible. It is not near as defined as the photo and it is not sealed. The board was dull and had no protective covering on it as it appears in the window. The first one I ordered was damaged so I ordered another thinking maybe it would have a different edge. It did not. I will send the damaged one back but as this was ordered as a gift, I had to order a sealant for the second one to treat the board.
