Because it slightly transforms, glows, has lots of pointy bits but won't do anything by itself. You have to handle it. **Q: Is the software also available for Mac?** A: No it is not. **Q: Does anybodies thumb buttons work when playing battlefield or the division 2? mine only work about 25% of the time. but in pubg it works ok.** A: Mine has the front left thumb button break. Like the past 7 years. Also tech support will not help unless you send a video of it freezing up. Which is weird and impossible. There are no instructions. There are no howto documents. but there are several warning labels bout hazards. No idea why they still sell this. Other than the annoying constant freeze up, it is a neat mouse. but reminds me of the days of massive lag. ***Solution to the freeze up*** Install the companion software, change the light setting to black.
