Which was what I had been doing prior. I had never dealt with extreme hard water like I have now and tried all the additives. I found adding a tablespoon of citric acid to regular dishwasher detergent (pods, liquid or powder) got rid of the white chalky film and made my silverware and glasses shiny again. But I saw this and thought it could save me time and money. It works ok. But still leaves a very slight dullness to everything. If I use the citric acid with it it's perfect.
