It is very soft, but doesn't absorb water at all (like it said in the product summary). The picture they post makes it look really thick and soft. If you hold it up to the light you can see right through it. Check out the photos I attached and you can see how thin it is. The material looks kind of fluffy but when you apply any pressure to it, it squishes down.
