## Overview

The Newtex Z-Block F-407 is a high-performance flame retardant fabric designed for fire containment and protection. With a silicone overcoat, it offers superior durability against abrasion, moisture, and UV rays. Measuring 2 yards in length and 60 inches wide, this fabric is perfect for various applications, all while being proudly made in the USA.

## Description

Z-Block flame retardant fabrics are designed for use in fire curtains, fire containment covers, and custom smoke and fire protection systems. When exposed to flame in these applications, the coating develops a protective high temperature silica layer allowing it to effectively prevent flame penetration at temperatures up to 1800°F / 980°C. Z-Block is also an excellent insulation jacketing material for multi-layer insulation blankets, but it is NOT intended for hot-side applications where contact temperatures exceed 350°F / 175°C. Z-Block is formulated with inorganic materials and will not produce hazardous outgassing.

- Z-Block F-407 SOC is a high temperature polymer-coated fiberglass fabric treated with a proprietary formulation of fire retardants and a silicone overcoat
- Withstands flames, smoke, and adverse weather. NOT intended for hot-side applications where contact temperatures exceed 350°F.
- The Silicone Overcoat creates a smooth finish that protects the fabric from abrasion, improves water tightness, and increases weather and UV resistance.
