I mounted 2 27in on it and I have around 5cm between the bottom screen and the desk and about the same for the top screen vesa mount and the end of the pole. The other concern will be the weight. Holding up a 34inch ultrawide with a 27inch on top. No bending of the arm zero wobble. Easy adjustment of the monitors once installed which makes it easy to align how you want them. Little difficult mounting the monitors by yourself so would recommend 2 people, one to hold in place, the other to tighten.
