Compared to artists loft the weight of the actual canvas on these is noticeably less consistent in the weave and thinner but thickness may be due to having a thinner gesso primer. You can see the variation in threads when you hold it up to the light but the texture isn't as heavy as Artist loft canvases so I actually like that. They are tighter, also. The wood frame on these is not squared off in back, it is beveled towards the canvas. It seems this design will be better in that there's no squared off portion to leave lines if the canvas starts to sag, and the size is imprinted into the wood, but the wood seems a LOT lighter than the pine used for artists loft. I can't quite tell what the wood is, though. It may say in the description and I may have overlooked it.For the price and how fast they shipped (2 days for me)I will certainly keep these in mind for future orders. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great buy! *by A***A on Reviewed in the United States on May 5, 2020* I buy a lot of products, including art supplies from Amazon. I'm really terrible about leaving reviews. But I felt I needed to comment on these canvases. They are wonderful, sturdy professional and really easy to work with and paint on. I like canvases with a good amount of texture, and these fit the bill! I do sand with fine sandpaper prior to painting...just a quick once over, which helps save my brushes from too much wear and tear. They were slightly loose on the frame, but a quick spritz of water on the reverse side before painting gets them tight as a drum! (Warm water works well if they are really loose). The wood frame is well constructed and appears to be very sturdy. They are meant to be a pack of 3, but I only received one as they were inadvertently separated at the warehouse. The seller was amazing and took care of the issue very quickly and efficiently!
