They mounted very easily to the old stand with no modifications. They put out as much light without all the heat and don’t trip breakers anymore (2- 500watt halogens plus any power tools on a 15 amp circuit doesn’t leave much room). Oh and even when they’re switched off they still emit a small amount light like a night light.
