    Really wish it came with a CD

I bought this book shortly before my first child was born and just pulled it out again now that he's 4 1/2 and wanted to hear some lullabies. I loved finding the lyrics to lullabies I remember from my childhood, like "All Through the Night" (which we called "peas attending," mishearing the lyric "peace attend thee").But we didn't use it much because for me, it's hard to learn new songs just from the printed music. I really, really wish this book came with a CD of all the songs, not to play for the baby but for the parents to learn from. Feierabend's CD

     includes six from this lullaby book, but I would really like a CD of all 75 or so songs.I found the way the verses are typeset to be kind of odd. The first verse of each song is printed with the music. Then each verse is also printed separately in paragraph form, including the first verse. For songs with only one verse, that verse is still repeated later on the page, under the music. I would much prefer to have all of the verses up with the music, such as you would find multi-verse songs in a hymnal.

I am debating on returning this book or not. I do like that it has so many lullabies and sheet music to follow along with. What i dont like is that i dont know all these different languages and have nothing to use as a vuide. (A CD with music as well to learn rhythm and pronunciation.

Excited to try this! 🎼 One thing though - I was hoping it would have more embellishment in the music - it’s basic melody notes for music with lyrics and a picture. Book If you want a piano lullaby arrangement book, this is not it. If you want something simple to sing or play with children, this book is great 😍
